AUTONOMOUS MARINE SYSTEMS
HomeAUTONOMOUS MARINE SYSTEMS
Autonomous marine vessel equipped with advanced navigation and control systems

Autonomous Control for Marine Vessels

Our gateways act as the control bridge between autonomous navigation systems and real marine propulsion and steering equipment. They allow autonomous platforms to command engines, thrusters, and rudder systems while maintaining continuous monitoring of critical parameters.
Manual handling remains unchanged at all times—autonomy is an added capability, not a replacement for traditional vessel control.

Autonomy Gateway – Control & Monitoring Layer

Maritronix gateways provide a CAN-bus interface between autonomous control systems and marine propulsion and steering equipment, enabling control of engines, thrusters, and rudder systems. All gateways are interconnected through MX-Bus, the Maritronix network backbone that links propulsion and auxiliary modules into a unified, deterministic control architecture for autonomous applications. Designed for autonomous system developers and marine integrators, the platform delivers a documented and integration-ready marine control solution.

Autonomous Integration with Manual Override

Gateway units are compact and engineered for installation within the helm console or protected technical compartments. Autonomous capability is added without visible external modifications or structural changes to the vessel. The helm remains fully functional and familiar to the operator. At any time, the vessel can be controlled manually, switched to autonomous mode, or operated remotely—without compromising safety or operator authority.

Complete Autonomous Vessel Solutions

In cooperation with Gliseris Aluminium Boats, Maritronix delivers vessels with shipyard-integrated CAN-bus control architecture and pre-installed gateway systems. Propulsion, steering, thrusters, and auxiliary subsystems are fully controllable via structured CAN messages, with all gateways interconnected through MX-Bus. The result is a vessel digitally prepared for full autonomous control from day one, providing USV developers with a ready foundation for navigation systems, AI modules, and remote operation platforms.
